NEW VOICES

The New Voices concert series features talented emerging Canadian opera singers. The program is designed as a professional development opportunity for opera singers. Queen of Puddings co-artistic directors will mentor each singer as they work with a professional ensemble and conductor, culminating in a performance that features contemporary vocal repertoire. Participation is by invitation.

 

SUMMER SCHOOL

From 2002-2009 Queen of Puddings presented its summer school program, first as "Contemporary Techniques for Classical Singers" then subsequently as "Songs & Scenes for Classical Singers and Collaborative Pianists". This summer intensive was dedicated to the advanced training of emerging classical singers and collaborative pianists and included coachings, masterclasses, opera scenes, acting, and movement, culminating in a final performance.

 

LITTLE PUDDINGS

With each new project we embark upon at Queen of Puddings, we develop an educational outreach component to suit the needs of the particular community represented in the opera.
